I have a paypal mastercard and i know what the “credit limit” is but what is the “cash advance” for? And how is it used? Could someone give an example of how they would use it? And give the list of fees if any that apply when using this feature/money/whatever? Here is a link to see exactly what i am looking at http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/5356/captureeke.png

A cash advance is a way for you to obtain cash from your line of credit that you have on your card. So for example: You have a credit card with a credit limit of $ 1200.00. Maybe you use your credit card to make purchases. If you also have a pin number (which you usually have to set up) you can take the card and use it at an atm with your pin number and get cash (kinda like a debit card/atm card) but the amount withdraw will show up on your billing statement along with credit card charges. You usually get charged an apr /interest like with credit cards.
