yes, he does. these lawyers may be only Christian in name
Lawyers don’t have a conscience anyway. Take the word “Divorce” out of your question and you still have a dilemma on your hands. Err, feet.
Don’t you have any other questions on your mind? This is at least the third time you’ve asked this.
And as I said before — CHRISTIAN lawyers would strive for reconciliation first, but IF it is not possible, they would seek for a kind and civil resolution, especially if there are children.
God doesn’t like divorce, but it’s a sad fact of life these days. Christian lawyers can be a voice for calmness and fairness — which will result in both parties suffering the least amount of harm.
That fulfills Christ’s mission, as well – to provide safety, help and healing for those who need it.

Whynotaskprairiedawn: You are making a gross generalization. Lawyers have some of the strictest codes of professional ethics and standards. If they don’t adhere to them, they are in danger of losing their license.

Friend,
Profession is for lively hood.It has been taken to sustain oneself and the family that depends on him/her.Religion is personal.
When he is in office he discharges those duties assigned to him without attachment.
After the duty hours , it is his personal life and he proceeds according to his religion.
Uhm you do realise not all lawyers are divorce lawyers? No further questions. You may step down.
You know, that is a very good question. For myself, I had the same challenges as a licensed Pharmacist who no longer believed in the healthcare system or even the allopathic (symptom-based) treatment model of modern western medicine. How did I reconcile being an Ordained Healing Minister in Acupuncture School while working as a Pharmacist in a retail store? LOL.
It all depends on the intention a person brings with them to the table. As intuitive healer, Reiki Master and Meditation Teacher, I came to understand that simply being my Authentic Self in the Now, and having faith in the Light of the Lord and the mysterious workings of Grace, was all I needed to do. My ego was not in the way, there was no threat to my beliefs and ethical principles. Like Carolyn Myss once said in her lecture – Spiritual Madness – all God may call upon you to do is be in that neighbourhood, in that exact place, and shine the Light through you. The rest will take care of itself, what is meant to be will happen, and you are supporting that with Grace. That is the role of a true witness.
God hates divorce… but people get divorced. It’s not the lawyer’s fault. Shouldn’t people getting divorced get good help?
The Bible allows for divorce for only two reasons (to the best of my knowledge.)
1) Sexual unfaithfulness
2) A non-believing spouse wishes to divorce a Christin due to the new found faith of the Christian.
If an attorney takes a divorce case for any other reason and claims to be a Christian, they are more interested in money than in following Jesus. You can not serve money and God at the same time.
simple. money talks louder than god.
